Tear It All Down
Tear it all down, down to the ground. Brick by brick and stone by stone. Tear it all down, down to the ground. Every single piece of the structure must fall. Everything, every window and wall.
Tear it all down, down to the ground.
Even the trim and the carpet on the floor. Every stud in the walls and every door.
Tear it all down, down to the ground. Remove any sign that it ever was there.
Tear it all down, down to the ground.
But not “just” the structure, but the foundation which it was bound.
Tear it “ALL” down. Down to the ground.
So when you build it back up “nothing” can knock it down.
I’ve spent a lifetime building and tearing down. Building and tearing.
Trying this thing and building it into what I truly believe it should be only to tear it down later in defeat. Moving to the next thing and building it up only just to watch this one crumble under the weight and pressure.
I never saw it until just now. I know the concept and I know it well. Tear down an old building and build back a new.
Every good builder (in most cases) doesn’t just tear down the building, but digs up the foundation so a more secure foundation can be built, and they raise up the new structure on a “sure” base.
While I know it in some instances is possible to build on an old foundation sometimes and I dare say most times that’s just not possible.
