Still Trying (A Few Days Later)

A few days ago, I wrote about being unsettled, about compromise, unfinished things, and the quiet discomfort of knowing I wasn’t living as fully as I could.

Nothing dramatic has changed since then. There was no lightning bolt.
No sudden clarity. No perfectly mapped-out plan.

But something did shift.
I showed up.
I spoke instead of scrolling past the urge.
I took a small step instead of waiting for the perfect one.
I finished something I’d been putting off, not because it was flawless, but because it was honest.
That matters more than I used to think.

For a long time, I believed movement had to look big to count. That if I wasn’t reinventing my life, then I wasn’t really trying. But I’m learning that progress often whispers. It shows up quietly—in follow-through, in courage that doesn’t announce itself, in choosing not to abandon yourself again.

I’m still unsettled in places.
I’m still learning what fits and what doesn’t.
I’m still figuring out what “enough” looks like for me now, not the version of me from ten years ago, not the expectations others placed on me, but this version.
And that’s okay.

Trying doesn’t mean everything gets better all at once.
It means you stop lying to yourself about where you are.
It means you stop waiting for permission.
It means you take the next small, honest step—even if your hands shake a little.

I don’t know exactly where this is leading yet.
But I know I’m moving again.
And for now, that’s enough.

If you’re here, reading this, and you feel stuck, behind, or unsure… you’re not broken. You’re human. Maybe the bravest thing you can do today isn’t to overhaul your life, but simply to not quit on yourself.

I’m still trying.
And I think that counts..
