Stay the course
“Stay the course”: A phrase used in the context of a war or battle meaning to pursue a goal regardless of any obstacles or criticism.
Many of us have goals in life. For each of us there’s probably a thousand different things. For some it may be visiting another country. For others it may be to be more healthy. Maybe it’s to get out of debt. Perhaps it’s to write a book or compose a song. Whatever the goal, rest assured, obstacles will come… sometimes out of nowhere. And criticism will come from the least likely of places.
Nevertheless, stay the course. Stay focused on your goal. Keep going. Don’t stop. You’ll get there.
I’ve been guilty of stopping too soon far too many times. Obstacles would slow me down. Criticism would stop me cold in my tracks. I don’t let that stuff bother me like I used to. I’ve had to learn to keep moving forward. Keep pursuing my dreams. Keep believing in myself.
I’ll get there one day, and so will you.
