The Why
I realize that not every post is for everyone. So when inspiration comes I write what comes out of me, with the hope that the one who needs it will see it. It’s not always easy, but from the responses I’ve received, I know I’m taking the right approach.
I want to encourage you.
I want to inspire you.
I want to give you that little push you may need to keep going. I want to help you to remember. I want to help you to forget. I want to give you something to smile about. I want to give you hope. I want you to see the hope that’s already inside of you.
I want you to know that you’re amazing just the way you are.
I suppose I just want to be a light when you need one.
I used to hide my writing for fear of failure and for fear of embarrassing myself, because I never thought it was quite good enough or that I was qualified. I now know that was wrong, and my job is to be the very best I can be and leave the results up to someone that’s higher than me.
Psalm 3:3-4 says “But you, O Lord, are a shield for me, My glory and the One who lifts my head. I cried to the Lord with my voice, And he heard me from his holy hill.”
So many times I’ve been down and discouraged, and I’ll come across a blog or a meme that totally changes my perspective. I’m able to get up and move on because I was inspired; my hope was restored.
I hope this page is that for those of you that know me and for those of you who don’t. I think every writer has a purpose for their writings. For some it’s to make you laugh, for others it’s to make you feel all warm and fuzzy. Mine, I believe, is to just let you know you’re not alone, that it’s gonna be ok, and that you should keep going. I want you to feel better about just being you. Embrace your gifts and talents, and let them be your inspiration to be amazing.
Remember to be the best you that you can be, and I’ll be the best me that I can be, and we’ll change the world together 🙂
