Christmas is my favorite time of the year. I think I’ve probably always enjoyed this season the most. From the classic Christmas movies like “A Charlie Brown Christmas” and twenty-four hours of “A Christmas Story” to “It’s a Wonderful Life” and all the sounds of the season that are playing most everywhere you go to the lights on a Christmas tree and all the decorations, I love it all. I even almost enjoy the crowds, and I realize for someone with my personal space and anxiety issues that’s saying a lot. This season, for me, has always been a time to reflect and be thankful for my many blessings. The time spent with family and friends and the people you love, can’t ever be priced. The joy in seeing smiling children come alive with wonder and anticipation is magical. I’m truly grateful for the years and all the things that make this time special.

I’m also keenly aware that for many, this time of year is hard. Maybe you can’t be with loved ones this year because time and distance are just too far. Maybe circumstances are just not lining up as you’d hoped. Maybe someone that always made this season amazing isn’t with you this year. I know for me, many of my family and loved ones have passed on and it’s always hard when someone is missing that’s traditionally been there.

My wish, for you, is that you are able to spend time with the ones who mean the most to you. I hope you receive whatever it is you need to make this time a beautiful memory that will last a lifetime. If you’re separated from family and friends for whatever reason this year, perhaps a phone call would make all the difference in the world. Technology is such nowadays that you can feel like you’re right there in the room. If you’re alone this Christmas, I pray something or someone comes your way to make your day special. And for anyone who just feels hopeless, it will get better. I’ve been to the end of hope but have found my way back to joy. You’ll find your way too. To everyone I say, go make memories that will last a lifetime, and many blessings to you all.

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and Joy to the World.
